About Us
Victoria Ridler and Camilla Dobell
Together we have 25 years experience of supporting children with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD) at a non-selective primary school in South West London. We have taught both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and have regularly supported children with a range of frequently co-occurring difficulties including dyslexia, DCD, ASD and ADHD.
How do we teach?
- A structured approach to teaching with logical small steps and explicit links between each step.
- We employ a wealth of unique resources to provide multi-sensory support and to make teaching active and interactive using all modalities - visual, auditory and kinaesthetic.
- We adopt a personalised approach, teaching according to each child's specific strengths and weaknesses, through targeted support and a flexible approach.
- Individual targets are set for each child with regular lesson feedback.
Our Aims
We are passionate about helping children with SpLD achieve to the best of their ability: helping them to read, spell and express their thoughts on paper and, just as importantly, develop their confidence, motivation and self-esteem.
